About Lagos State Boxing Hall of Fame

The Lagos Boxing Foundation operating under the tradename Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF) is a non-profit organisation in Lagos registered in 2011 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/49246) as a vehicle to support the training and development of young and amateur boxers in the country. “To provide a regular platform for the youth to display their talent, courage, skill, and athleticism in boxing through competitions, programmes, projects, capacity building and training schemes”.

“To become the foremost youth
development foundation in Nigeria using the sport of boxing as a platform for raising a generation of disciplined, dignified and excellence-focused youth with a strong sense of commitment to becoming world champions and making positive impacts in their communities”.

Our Objectives


To develop and promote amateur boxing amongst the youths of Nigeria in particularly Lagos.


To provide a regular platform for the youth to display their talent, courage and athleticism in boxing.


To promote youth development through the organization of programmes, projects and competitions.


To provide sense of inclusion and training platform and nurturing for youngsters from their early youth.


To make Lagos a boxing destination in Africa and throughout the world through the development of state of the art facilities.

Our Events

Lagos Monthly Saturday Boxing Show

The closed competition organised in conjunction with Lagos State Boxing Association holds on the last Saturday of every month at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba

Ogun Quarterly Saturday Boxing Show

This closed competition attracting boxers from clubs in Ogun State holds at the Asero Stadium Quarterly. Organised in conjunction with Ogun State Boxing Association

Annual Governor’s Belt

This is an annual competition organised in conjunction with the Lagos State Boxing Association for amateur boxers to compete for the Governors Belt. It holds at Teslim Balogun Stadium on December 26th every year.

Dambe Boxing

Rehab Boxing Clinic (RBC)

Specifically designed for youths in the slum to channel their energy into productive use rather than becoming miscreants…..Key targets are NURTW members and reformed drug addicts

Character Building Project (CXB Project)

Targeted at school children to teach them the arts of boxing as well as preach against bullying, Xenophobia, racism, body shaming and domestic violence
