About Us

forging our own path

Encouraging positive youth development through amateur boxing.

A brief history

Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame was conceived in February 2009 by the Hon. Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development under the patronage of Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola as a means of reviving amateur boxing in Lagos State.

LBHF, a non-profit organization works closely with the Lagos Amateur Boxing Association to support the training and development of young amateur boxers in the state by providing gymnasia and other facilities and training coaches and officials.

Significantly, it provides a regular platform for young boxers from clubs across the State to experience competitive boxing by hosting a multiple-bout show on the last Saturday of every month.

Our Goals
  • Provide young boys and girls the opportunity to learn amateur boxing in an environment of world class standard and facilities.
  • Nurture talented youngsters to reach the higher levels of international amateur boxing.
  • Encourage positive youth development through amateur boxing.
